A Season’s Change in the Shenandoah Valley

From warm mornings, to more crisp breezes, and sunsets sooner than before, Autumn is slowly creeping in as September shows its colors. Although Fall doesn’t actually begin until 9/22, we’ll start to see more and more shifts that remind us that the cooler season is here to stay.
Throughout the Shenandoah Valley, there are Farm Markets that will help you celebrate the transition, and remind you of the fruits of harvest. They all offer produce (pumpkins + apples during the ‘ber months), sweet baked treats, and tons of locally-crafted jams and jellies.

Woodbine Farm Market || Strasburg, VA
Adam’s Apples + Herbs || Woodstock, VA
Corner Market Farm to Table || Mount Jackson, VA
Showalter’s Orchards || Timberville, VA

Our favorite Shenandoah pastime is being able to head to these markets and pick up some Apple Cider Doughnuts – the perfect treat to welcome in sweater season. The donuts are always perfectly doughy, and covered in a cinnamon sugar coating that is almost addictive.
We hope you’re excited for crunching leaves, trees changing colors against blue skies, and the ability to drive with the windows down. Happy almost-Autumn! And remember, whether you’re searching for a cozy front porch to enjoy crisp mornings, land for your own harvest traditions, or simply a place to call home, our team at Sager Real Estate is here to help. Our Shenandoah Valley Realtors know the rhythms of the seasons, and we’re ready to make your fall in the Shenandoah Valley everything you’ve imagined!
