Something continues to ring true throughout the Shenandoah Valley: history resides throughout every peak, and every vale. Storytelling exists in all community aspects – in the food that comes from the land, in the families that have lived here for generations upon generations, and in the items that hold memories and tales.

Every second Saturday of every August, the Valley celebrates these items by hosting an over-43-mile long Yard Crawl, stretching from Stephens City, Virginia, to New Market. Residents and businesses showcase and sell their treasures along the expanse of Route 11, while locals and travelers (from all over the country) come to enjoy giving old things a new life.

Route 11 holds a special place in our hearts, as our Sager Real Estate Office has sat happily in its warm embrace for decades. We have seen businesses come and go, buildings change and grow, and seasons change – all along this beloved street.

This year, the Route 11 Yard Crawl will be held on Saturday, August 9th, starting at 7 AM and going until the goods are gone.

Floral teacups, plates, and vintage-style decor arranged on pastel shelving.

From rose-covered teacups to pastel pitchers, it’s the kind of delicate beauty that makes every treasure hunt worth it.

While there are many new spots to visit, you can also enjoy some of our favorites that are open throughout the year:

We invite you to trek for treasure and search for what you’ve been missing. Whether the time is nearing for a new house, a new decor style, or just a new adventure, we know you’ll find some trinkets to take with you. And there’s nothing that warms our heart more than filling a home with things that continue to celebrate who you are and the story that you’re creating.

Learn more about the Route 11 Yard Crawl here or stop by the Sager office during the event (we’ll be open from 9 AM until noon) – we’d love to see you! Happy Yard Crawling!
